Dan The Fish Man

Back at Appledore Quay

I’m delighted to be back at Appledore Quay again on Wednesdays. You can find me outside John’s store every week with my fish van  from April through to September, 9am to 1pm.

With its maritime atmosphere and long associations with fish and fishing, it’s the perfect place to browse the very best in local fish and seafoods. Make sure you remember to order your lobsters!

Easter Saturday, Crediton Farmers’ Market

Easter Saturday is always busy, not only with locals, but with visitors journeying down to enjoy the delights of the West Country.

Crediton Market is bound to be bustling, with a wealth of delicious fresh foods on display from local suppliers. So do come along and join in the fun.  I hope to see you there!

Maundy Thursday at South Molton

On Maundy Thursday I’ll be at South Molton Farmers’ Market with a bumper selection of delicious fish and seafoods.

Everyone will be getting in their provisions for the Easter break , so do come along and join in. You’re guaranteed a feast of Devon fare. I'll be delighted to chat to you about recipes and how to get the very best out of your fish.

Apologies for Good Friday

I’m afraid I won’t be on my stall in Mill Street, Bideford, on Good Friday. It’s just a one-off, and I’ll be back there as normal, the Friday after. I look forward to seeing you!

Important! The lobster season’s beginning, and I’m already weighing up some superb examples. So if you’re planning a mouth-watering lobster meal, do phone with me with your order.

Christmas 2018

The Appledore fish yard is now closed and the boats are all safely tied up.
I've hung up my filleting knives and I'm enjoying some quality family time at our cottage in North Devon.
You can find me back on the fish barrow in the second week of January.
Thank you as ever for all your support  and custom.
The fish fight goes on!
Happy Fishmas to all and a Cod new year
Dan
